You could say this is one of the greatest comedies ever, but the Monty Python team said it first! Life of Brian is all about (and here's the big surprise) the life of Brian, who was born in a Bethlehem manger next door to Jesus. Three wise men believe he is the messiah, but it becomes apparent that he is only Brian.

It's written and performed by the Monty Python lads, so you know what you're in for; if you don't, put this disc down and go out while it's safe!

The best comedy film EVER!!!! If i was to be told I could watch one film before i die it would be this. The story parallels the story of jesus, but in the true python fasion the humour is from start to finish. In summary , stoning, halibutt, judean peoples front, childrens matinee, ex leper, welease bwian and above all always look on the bright side of life.

 Pure, Pure genius

Quoted by millions of students worldwide. Forget about modern comedies and taglines, this film is the only true "laugh-out-loud" film ever made.

I never went in for the controversy because it quite clearly says it is not about Jesus, but it does poke fun at the events of Jesus' time. Everyone looking for the new messiah and fights breaking out over the best way to worship a god. Sounds a bit like today actually.

Absolute comedy gold and it will never ever be beaten.

How can you not LOVE this movie...!

There are so many funny lines and scenes that I cannot begin to even scratch the surface. Iconic, controversial, laugh-out-loud hilarious... this is everything a comedy film should be!

Excellent movie havent laughed so much at any movie. This takes the mickey out of our religion but in such a funny way that its so watchable. Brian is mistaken for the messiah both when he is born then again when older. Also makes such fun of the ancient Romans. Would recomend this movie to anyone needing cheered up

Life of brian is a classic monty python film and here their talents are fully on show. Taking the mickey out of all of those religous films and highlighting some religous flaws in hysterical ways. Definatly a film to watch before you die.
