Prisoner Cell Block H: Volume 2 (8 Disc)

Why have we had to wait so long for anything other the random selection of episodes first released on video? We know it's awful-the sets wobble and the acting's ropey in places-but that's what makes 'Prisoner' the fab hit it is. No-one expects Olivier or any Oscar-winning performances; we just tuned in to see Bea and Lizzie (not to mention the wonderful Meg, Joan and Joyce et al) and their continuing struggles to make it through another day in Wentworth Detention centre. Take my advice and open that rickety-cell door...enter the world of dobbers and crims. You know it makes sense...

i received vol 1 for christmas and i must have played it over and over and over again by now.
I was just hoping that they would release the others onto DVD and i did a search the other and i found VOL2 was coming, so i place my order from play and i got it today :D. i have started to watch them, Roll on VOL 3 (i just hope it dont take months for the next VOL)

I received vol 1 for christmas and it was so so brill i just am so glad that vol 2 is on its way this is one of the best programmes ever shown on telly the story lines the actors and its just going to get better hope it aint another 7month for volume 3 keep them coming

YES YES YES !!!! brilliant news the second volume will soon be available to buy. I love this series, hope they release all the other volumes, i will be certainly collecting every single one of them.

This is fantastic news that Shock are releasing the second instalment of Prisoner in the UK. For anyone who hasn't seen the series or hasn't watched it since it was first aired in the UK, this is a MUST BUY. You don't know what you're missing out on. The storylines are as pertinent now as they were 30 years ago. The acting and the character-building over the series is unparalleled in any other series of drama I have ever seen. This drama defines the 'cliffhanger'. You just can't put the series down. I guarantee once you have seen one episode you will be hooked!
In the next 32 episodes, you can look forward to seeing classic characters such as Jim Fletcher, Vera Bennett, Bea Smith, Lizzie Birdsworth, Meg Morris, Monica Ferguson, Governor Erica Davidson etc.
We were left with Vera being tied up by her drug dealer partner George Lucas (not of Star Wars fame I hasten to add!!) as he fled the scene. What will become of Vera? Just how will she explain away her association with a known criminal to the Department??
One can also look forward to new characters coming into the show in the form of Bella Albrecht, Antonia McNally, Rosslyn Coulson and many more...
Prisoner really unerringly accelerates to full pelt in the next 32 episodes and I for one can't wait for this release!!
