 Amazing Movie

I honestly didn't think I would like this one. I didn't see it in the cinema and in fact didn't see it until it was on TV a couple of years ago. I was surprised that I actually loved it! They've touched on the storylines very well. I'm sure they are a real-life couple too, very beautiful.
I don't usually say this about many films but it's a definite must-see whatever your film taste is!

 An Intelligent Feel Good Movie

Having made it all the way to the final question on the Indian Who Wants to be a Millionaire eighteen-year-old Jamal Malik is accused of cheating and taken to a back room for questioning. Through a series of flashbacks and memories it becomes clear just how an apparently uneducated slumdog knew the answers to the difficult questions.

At its heart Slumdog Millionaire is a story about unrequited love but this is far more intelligent than your average Hollywood movie. It creates a brilliant narrative interweaving Jamal's quiz show exploits with the story of his journey from a child to adulthood in which the entire cast, including the children playing the younger versions of Jamal, really excel.

Dark at times Slumdog Millionaire becomes a fantastic feel good movie about how a strong will can help you achieve through adversity and this is one film that certainly deserved all the awards it has collected.

 WATCH THIS - AWESOME

WOW - What an Experience, what a brilliantly told story, so much Fun, Sadness, Cruelty but ultimately a Uplifting Movie (Certainly not the Feel good Movie of the Decade as the Posters were quoting - due some of the scenes.)
The way the film is structured with it's Flashbacks, it keeps you hooked all the way.
India looks so vibrant and full of life, the film is not centred around the Slums all the way thru and you get to see other parts of this beautiful country.
The direction by Danny Boyle was Brilliant, The acting Fantastic, especially Dev Patel and Anil Kapoor and a very special mention to the young actors in the film who were AMAZING.
Music by A.R Rahman was brilliant (been listening to it ever since)
Just a Movie that has to be watched

 Not bad

Slumdog Millionaire is the story of the boy who shouldn't have been able to do anything but by some miracle just happens to be everything!
The story is a simple one, a boy who hasn't had an easy life some how makes his way onto a TV show and has the chance of winning millions. But how can the boy from the ghetto, a boy with no education win on this show??
The story flows nicely, it's easy to keep a track of whats going on and there's nothing which can really throw you out of plave. However at times it goes a little stale and slows down. It's a nice story but a little bit too far fetched, it has a lot of things which seem a little bit too much like fiction for it to be a truly gripping story.

Overall: Slumdog Millionaire is a decent movie, it's an easy watch and at the end you won't regret. However I do feel it was quite overrated, it's good but not a masterpiece. Not bad but not brilliant.

I was a bit late getting round to watching this one but was well rewarded. Very intricate plot well woven in flashbacks throughout the film and an insight into the slums of India. Well acted, well done.

Just a terrible film. All the hype only made it more of a let down. Danny Boyle's worst film.

I for one really enjoyed this movie. My only thing with this is. Being indian, it is very toungue and cheek bollywood. I question that if this was made equally in india by an indian director would it have had the same success? We will never know. However the good things about the movie. It does cater for all genders, it has humour, your elements of gangster storylines, and romance. I loved although questionable the authencity of the film. YOu can tell that alot of serious research has been before the movie was made. Using some actors actually that were brought up in the slums was a genuine touch to the movie. All the costumes etc was brilliantly chosen as it were british asian actors in the role. Trust me, as a british asian myself it is hard to blend in back home, no matter how you dress you still look like a tourist. If you liked City of God. THen you should enjoy this. I will finish on one high note, that it has one of the best movie soundtracks by a musical genius known as A R Rahman.

I dont see whats so good about it really...
