What would you do if you got a second shot at life?

Class of 1989, Mike O'Donnell (Zac Efron) is a star on the high school basketball court with a college scout in the stands and a bright future in his grasp. But instead, he decides to throw it all away to share his life with his girlfriend Scarlet and the baby he just learned they are expecting.

Almost 20 years later, Mike's (Matthew Perry) glory days are decidedly behind him. His marriage to Scarlet (Leslie Mann) has fallen apart, he has been passed over for a promotion at work, his teenage kids think he is a loser, and he has been reduced to crashing with his high school nerd-turned-techno-billionaire best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon).

But Mike is given another chance when he is miraculously transformed back to the age of 17. Unfortunately, Mike may look 17 again, but his thirtysomething outlook is totally uncool among the class of 2009. And in trying to recapture his best years, Mike could lose the best things that ever happened to him.

I'm a 19 year old male and i had the misfortune to watch this on the plane. It's just another vanity film for Zac Effron and it's absolute pants. By all means your daughters will love it, but realistically if you have hairs on your chest this is just awful.

 Surprisingly good...

I cant beleave i'm saying it but yes, Zac Efron is an alright actor, after his early roles, i dont think he showed much promise but seeing the contrast in him from those other movies to this i am hopeful he will have a great career.

17 again is like Big but in reverse, its not very original but its still good fun with some good entertainment to be had, its a must see movie for screaming fans of Zac but apart from him Matthew Perry is great, its just a pity that he isnt in more of it and also Leslie Mann is fantastic as the wife, who knew a grown woman and a 17 year old boy could have such charisma.

Overall its a fun and enjoyable movie that will have you laughing but not getting too emotional.

This is a great fantasy comedy, that poses the question what if?
Zack Efron is a real star in the making and by his talents in this great comedy shows his true potential. The concept of the film is not original, as the body swap comedies have been re-surfacing since Big back in 1988, but it's the smart savy script that makes this film stand out from the rest. Being a father in my mid thirties the film did ring true, as whilst watching the film I did start to wounder if you could be 17 Again what would you change? The film is very funny, and although some of the jokes did pass over the heads of the younger viewers who just came along to see Efrons six pack, did hit a bullseye with the parents. This is great family film and would gladly sit through it again. But the answer to the question posed in the film of what would you do if you were 17 again came to me whilst watching the movie with my daughter, Sure my hair is getting thinner on top, I lost my six-pack a while back, been married for 15 years, what would I change? ......."Not a damn thing!"
