Inspired by Martin McGartland's incredible autobiography, Fifty Dead Men Walking is the stunning new action thriller by Karl Skogland about a secret agent working undercover for British security services in Northern Ireland during the late eighties. Over the course of four years, until his betrayal and subsequent discovery, it was estimated that McGartland was responsible for saving the lives of up to fifty men.

This is a great fact based thriller of a mole working for the British as a I.R.A. member. The acting is superb, and Ben Kingsley is on top form. It's a tough subject matter and never takes sides over the troubles, and deals with the motives of both sides even handed without letting politics get in the way of the story, all leading to a very tense final third when the cover is blown.
If you are a fan of the excellent early 80's mini-series Harry's Game then this is a gripping movie that should not be missed.

The film is intelligent in it's approach but does not assume that you know everything about the history and subject that the film is about. The film tells a personal story and although points to the political, it never becomes political. The film is wonderfully acted and beautifully written. The film is not a main stream action or thriller as the box suggests but a great drama that entertains on every level

 Fantastic,realism
