  not good enough

this movie was ok. it is not as good as the original and they over complicated the cast with new characters and too much SHIELD presence which will obviously lead to another sequel of some sort. the story was weak and defeating the bad guy was easy. the introduction of a 2nd iron man suit with his friend in was totally uneccessary. i felt very let down by this film.

Since the first Iron Man film is one of my favourite films I was excited to see this and it didnt dissapoint! I absolutely LOVE Robert Downey Jr and i have never seen Scarlett Johansson in a film before but to me she was awesome. This film has some great laughs and action in it and if you liked the first Iron Man film I sugest that you go and see this one.

Having heard a few negative reviews in the press, i found them to be unjustified after watching the movie.

The 2 hours flew past, a haze of Quirky Characters, Zappy One Liners, Great Acting and Action.

Found this movie to be more open and funnier than the first one. Also thought the story progressed nicely.

Especially the bits with the Avengers Innitative.

Anyway this was Robert Downeys baby all the way. The guy is on a very Hot Streak at the Moment.

The rest of the cast also gelled brilliantly. And the Soundtrack by AC/DC complimented the movie perfectly.

Iron Man 3. BRING IT ON.

we all know it is hard to top the first movie of anything some have succeed with the superhero movies such as Dark knight , Hulk ( reboot tho) X-men 2 but however Iron man did not life up to what the first movie gave us.. Dont get me wrong this movie has brilliant action better than the first but the let down was too many things were going on in the movie they should have focused one main story line but this had different stories coming in from different angles, it also was beginning to show cracks of chessy lines such "as i am keeping my eye on you" - nick fury , too much talking also , could have cut bits out , peeper Potts became to whiny for me now, end battle never lasted that long the bad bits are out of the way The good points amazing fight scenes , great villain whiplash ( Micky Rourke give a great performance ) Robert Downey Jr made the movie his performance is what makes this movie, the avengers starting to tie in ( watch the end credits) Black widow finally they give the guys something to look at lol overall a very good movie but like to see more of a fight scene at the end with whiplash and less talking that was sometimes dragged on.

I saw Iron Man 2 a few days ago after anticpating this sequel since the first movie came out!!

I was not disappointed, in fact the new Iron Man is so great I'm seeing it again in a few days...

As before Robert Downey Jr was perfect as Tony Stark, I cannot think of any other person playing this role. Iron Man has always been a favourite Marvel hero of mine and so far I feel the films have definitely done him justice.

This film is more than a sequel, it continues on directly where the last finished and adding more characters from the marvel world, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury was a highlight for me, just added that something to the movie. I feel the whole thing is building up to something very special indeed.... ;)

Don Cheadle took over as Rhodey and he was superb, Mickey Rourke as Whiplash was possibly under used, but he was a fab bad guy, I enjoyed his performance very much.

Some said the film was a bit slow at times or adding too much back story to the characters, however I enjoyed every second. Back story to me is as important as the action ( and Iron Man 2 certainly had plenty of action!) Even the comics focus on back story and character as well as action so why should the film be any differant?

The action scenes were fantastic, great special effects, and the end piece left me begging for more! So yet again I'm highly anticpating the next installment...

I was absolutley desperate to see this film! I seen it just last night, and I was NOT disappointed in the slightest way! I LOVED the first film, and the second was soo much better! There's action from the very start to the very end, and watching as a SECOND iron man enters the screen, well, it's just baffling! And after the entrance of the second iron man, the action just got surprisingly soo much better than before. I'm now at a stage where I cannot describe this film with words anymore. It's just amazing, spectacular, thrilling, exciting, fantastic, action-filled, baffling etc etc. The list is endless! This movie is definatley on my wish list! I can't wait for its DVD release! This was without a doubt 5*!!

2008's IRON MAN was a brilliant big screen adaption of Marvels comic legend, and proved to be the most enjoyable summer blockbuster of that year. IRON MAN 2 continues the story from almost the moment the first movie ended, with the world knowing of Tony Stark's new identity. The sequel is a much larger film, in terms of story scope, and characters, but as they always say Bigger is not always better. I'm not saying that this sequel is poor, far from it, it's a brilliant thrill ride, but where the first movie was lean, setting up the story with great moments of action, the second film gets a little baggy, and the pace of the movie sags heaverly in the middle section. It's a case of fitting too much back story and character's in. The new characters are there to make way for the third movie and the set up of S.H.E.I.D. and the Avengers. these introductions include Nick Furry ( Sam Jackson) The Black Widow ( Scarlette Johansson) Justin Hammer ( Sam Rockwell ) but are squeezed into the movie and never given much space to breath. the good news is Downy JR is as good as ever, and given more character, as the side effects of his condition takes hold. Paltrow again shines as Pepper Pott's and the always excellent Don Cheadle takes over from Terrance Howard as Rhodey. But the real stand out turn comes from Mickey Rourke as Whiplash who's out for revenge, Rourke steals every scene, but it's a pitty he is so under used. As said the pace of the film is more uneven than the first, but it leads to a spectacular final act where all hell breaks loose, and keeps the fans gagging for the third chapter.
It's not perfect, but it's good points far out weigh the bad points.
Faults and all Iron Man 2 still is top draw summer blockbusting entertainment, and here's hopeing they Iron out the glitches for what should be a brilliant third part.
Brilliant Fun!

Iron Man 2 was fantastic, its good to see him again and with a super cool Russian villian and a super hot scarlet johanson. The action is incredibly and its a bit funny at points aswell. Downey Jr. is one of my favouriteactors and has excelled in this movie once again. This film isn't as good as the first one but its definately one to get at Christmas ( or Birthday )

  ITS GOOD TO BE BACK!!!

The first film was an instant classic breathing new life into Marvel projects and in my opinion this was no different. Robert Downey Jr is one of my favourite actors in recent years because of his ability to use his charisma to great effect in producing great one liners. Like the first the CGI and SFX were some of the very best as was the action which was trimmed back a bit in this film to give us back story into the Stark family. My only disappointment was they didnt cast a stronger actor for the villain because Mickey Rourke failed to live up to the role but apart from that great film looking forward for part 3. Enjoy
