In the spirit of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films transport you to the mystical lands of Persia for this wildly entertaining, epic action-adventure.

It's a race against time when a rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly teams up with a rival princess (Gemma Arterton) to safeguard a magical dagger that gives its possessor the power to reverse time and rule the world. Filled with death-defying escapes and unexpected twists at every turn - Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is a fun-filled adventure that will keep your pulse pounding long after the credits end.

This for me was an action packed film for all the family.

Based around the Prince of Persia Sands of time game, elements of this still exist in the Film, making it very enjoyable for someone who has played the game and can see these concepts in the film. But rergardless of whether you have played the game the film is still very enjoyable for all.

Packed with a lot of fight scenes, superbly choroegraphed to produce an exceptional set of events, that will keep you gripped to the very end.

At 1 hour 50 minutes running duration i enjoyed every second of this. And would recommend to Action film, sci psy and gamers alike.

Well what a huge let down, flimsy story, amazingly poor acting and a terrible accent from Jake. I thought this film, going by the trailer would be a worthy film to watch, but it wasn't. To be honest I didn't hang around to see the end. The movie makers should have toned down the violent scenes and made this a PG, but saying that, even a 10 year old would have found this boring. Has to be one of the poorest game adaptions I have ever seen. Lets hope they don't make a sequel, one is bad enough. In all I would rate this poorly conceived movie 1/10 and thats being generous !!!

Not a fan of non-animated Disney films.....

But this was a very enjoyable watch, it went from believable, to unbelievable to absolutely obscene and i loved every minute, (why on earth were there ostriches in this film? i love it!!!)

The director believed in the 5 actors who played the prince's and the king and uncle because they all made an impression on me during the beginning as we learned about them, and also in Gemma Arterton (who before this i didnt think was that hot, but after seeing this she is in my top 5) she played a good role as the Princess of Amalut.

The film is lengthy, and im not entirely convinced I liked the ending, I understand it, but was it really necessary? I wont give anything away but I think people will be against the ending.

But 5 minutes cant take away from the other 140 minutes of pure fun, I honestly really liked this film, the way the citys were represented I kept on thinking of The Mummys settings.

Overall, an excellent watch, with minimal bum-numbness and maximum thrills, watch it all the way through and make your own mind up....

I must admit this wasnt a film i was anticipating until shortly before its cinema release but after seeing it i can safely say that it has crept up on me. Jake Gyllenhaal produces a fine performance as the prince of persia well supported by a cast that includes Ben Kingsley who plays his uncle. The action and SFX are really good and i personally love the aspect of turning back time. This for me has to be amongst "Tomb Raider" and "Resident Evil" for the best game to movie adaptation. Enjoy

 Good silly fun

I watched this at IMAX with my cousin a while back and I've got to say it was very entertaining. This certainly isn't a genre busting, make it into the top 100 films of all time list kind of movie, it has many flaws that are clear to many "experienced" film goers, but I don't care about that, I enjoyed the movie and so did my cousin.

I'm not writing a really detailed review here since many people have done that already, I'm just offering my thoughts/feelings on this film, so take it as you wish.

I'd like to note that I'm Iranian (born here) and my cousin (born in Iran) is very knowledgeable on Iranian history (Persia is another name for Iran for those that don't know), so for her this film was a good laugh just because of how many historical inaccuracies there were, but even still she still liked the movie simply because it wasn't trying to be historically accurate, just very entertaining which in my opinion I believe it accomplished.

Now as I said before this movie isn't anything knew, many people will probably guess what is coming, but then again I believe the film also has a nice few surprises in store. For those who are fans of the game series (like me) this film is based off of then your in for a nice treat. I was surprised how they incorperated elements of the game into the film which most people were clueless about. It put a real smile on my face.

I would say this is a film best seen in the cinema, simply because there is a good amount of action going on and to be honest I doubt most people would care about the storyline so much. However this movie will easily make a very fun Saturday/Sunday night.

I was initially going to give this 4 stars, but I'm giving it 5 because I believe this film has been getting too much stick even though I found it to be a very entertaining film. Switch off your brain, get some pizza and enjoy the flick :)
