Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

I have always played the Prince of Persia games and loved them, but had never really bothered to watch this film after being let down by so many game-to-movie adaptations in the past.
I wish I had of seen it sooner - it is a brilliant film, and, for once, sticks very closely to the game, even using word-for-word dialogue in places. The action scenes and the relationships between characters are spot on too.
The casting is brilliant, script well written, and there is rarely a dull moment onscreen. I would recommend this film to anyone, as it is definately one for all the family, whether you have played the games or not.
So nice to see a game-to-movie done right for a change!!

Enjoyable but hardly brilliant, the wait for a great film based on a video game continues. Extras are a 15 minute making of doc, a 5 minute featurette about Blu-ray, and trailers for other Disney releases.

excellent, that is all i have to say. brilliant story line and always manages to keep you interested. will be going in my top ten videos of all time

Whant to know how to turn a Video game into a (good) movie. This is the one to whatch.

Its fast, fun, silly, and loads oif action packed fun, It followes the same patern as Resident Evil and Hit man ie dont slow down long enugh for any one to remember that this is actualy a Video game

You come away with the same smile as the first Pirates of the Carabiean.

Great fun and lots of action the cast is good and the Direction was equal to the cast.

OMG... what a wicked film, it had everything i look for in a action film, it was funny in places, romance, action and a very fit and buff jake gyllenhaal. a film you can watch over and over again. loved it.

alot of crits did not score this movie above average or so, but too be honest i dont understand, the movie is actually very entertaining, true to the game and holds its own as a blockbuster.

i cant wait for sequels, if you enjoyed pirates you will enjoy this if not more because i did.
trust me on this one and get it!

It is an average action movie, definitely worth a watch. It`s got some awesome special effects and the story keeps you interested.
I don`t like Jake Gyllenhaal`s british accent. That was just terrible, but still a good choice for a movie to watch on a Saturday night in.

Pretty average movie with very little to do with the game. It has some nice special effects and stunts, a reasonable story and Jake Gyllenhaal does a pretty decent English accent. Good movie to watch as a family but don't expect anything fancy in terms of acting or story.

I watched this at IMAX with my cousin a while back and I've got to say it was very entertaining. This certainly isn't a genre busting, make it into the top 100 films of all time list kind of movie, it has many flaws that are clear to many "experienced" film goers, but I don't care about that, I enjoyed the movie and so did my cousin.

I'm not writing a really detailed review here since many people have done that already, I'm just offering my thoughts/feelings on this film, so take it as you wish.

I'd like to note that I'm Iranian (born here) and my cousin (born in Iran) is very knowledgeable on Iranian history (Persia is another name for Iran for those that don't know), so for her this film was a good laugh just because of how many historical inaccuracies there were, but even still she still liked the movie simply because it wasn't trying to be historically accurate, just very entertaining which in my opinion I believe it accomplished.

Now as I said before this movie isn't anything knew, many people will probably guess what is coming, but then again I believe the film also has a nice few surprises in store. For those who are fans of the game series (like me) this film is based off of then your in for a nice treat. I was surprised how they incorperated elements of the game into the film which most people were clueless about. It put a real smile on my face.

I would say this is a film best seen in the cinema, simply because there is a good amount of action going on and to be honest I doubt most people would care about the storyline so much. However this movie will easily make a very fun Saturday/Sunday night.

I was initially going to give this 4 stars, but I'm giving it 5 because I believe this film has been getting too much stick even though I found it to be a very entertaining film. Switch off your brain, get some pizza and enjoy the flick :)
