Drawing from her two most recent smash hit albums 'Music' and 'Ray of Light' plus some of her classic hits, Madonna has produced a spectacular audio and visual feast. The latest tour from the Queen of Pop is her most dramatic and raunchiest show to date, breaking new ground and pushing back the boundaries of live musical and theatrical performance.
This DVD release was recorded at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan, USA on 26th August 2001 making it a must see event for fans. Presented with stunning Dolby Digital sound on DVD, The Drowned World Tour will transport you to the centre of the action where you'll feel as if you were there. With tickets for the UK leg of Madonna's tour selling out within minutes and only 120,000 people getting to see the show this new video release offers her many thousands of fans the opportunity to experience the critically acclaimed Drowned World Tour for themselves.
On the Drowned World Tour we get to see even more of Madonna's musical talents than ever before as she takes up the guitar. Madonna plays a Gibson Les Paul on `Candy Perfume Girl', a Monte Pittman acoustic on `I Deserve It' and `Secret' and nylon classical on `La Isla Bonita'. She studied guitar daily for eight months before the tour began. All playing, as well as singing, is completely live.

Having never seen Madonna in concert yet, this is the perfect DVD to really experience the awesome power of one of her dramatic concert shows. She performs much from Ray of Light and Music and intersperses great older classics too. A remarkable concert DVD, and one of the very best!
