G-Force is a comedy adventure about the latest evolution of a covert government programme to train animals to work in espionage. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Tapped for the G-Force the guinea pigs Darwin, the squad leader determined to succeed at all costs; Blaster, an outrageous weapons expert with tons of attitude and a love for all things extreme; and Juarez, a sexy martial arts pro; plus the literal fly-on-the-wall reconnaissance expert Mooch, and a star-nosed mole Speckles, the computer and information expert.

My kids loved this film sadly I didn't, it was watchable but the plot does not hold much substance to keep older viewers watching with interest.
The special effects were good and your kids will love the animals and more than likely pester you for a pet after the film.
All in all a good film to buy the kids for Christmas when you fancy an hour or so peace and quiet and you can always snooze of that Turkey dinner whilst it's on.

Before you all start moaning "Oh no not another talking cute animal movie" G-Force is a cut above the usual runt. Produced by uber producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Crimson Tide The Rock, BadBoys 1 & 2) This is a family friendly action movie, that comes across as an exciting hybrid of Mission Impossible and Dr Doolittle. The voice talents of the talking animals are top class, but it's the CGI rendition of the furry critters that really do impress. The film plays it smart by not using cartoonish recriations and make the animals look real, making the interaction with real life things seamless. With a burst of great action sequences that feel like thay belong in a big budget action film and not a mid-summer family film G-Force does really entertain. But there are a few niggles along the way, and mostly come down to the human characters being very underwritten and not funny, and the film does need to be more funny inbetween the action to keep the attention from lagging. Also it seems like the sountrack has been put together to promote the new albums by Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gagga and Flow Rider. That's ok if you like that sort of thing. These a minor quibbles in an other wise great family film. I went with my daughter to see the 3-D version of the film, and the effects were great, far better than the
3-D effects of Ice Age 3. This DVD version does loose the impressive 3D Wow factor, and with this the cracks in the film are far more obviouse. but the kids will still love the furry critters adventures.
Just a word of warning, after the film, no matter how much the Kids beg, Do Not take them to the nearest pet shop to buy a furry pet, as....
1: They can't talk.
2: The kids will get bored with them after a week
3: You will be left to clean the rodent out out for the rest of it's days!
Good family entertainment!

I took my younger cousins to the cinema to go and see this the other day in 3D which was a brilliant experience. Ive never seen a film in 3D before so watching this in the cinema was great, the quality was also brillait and wasn't blurry! After we had come out the cinema, i thought what the film would have been like if it wasn't in 3D. Without the whole 3D experience it would have been quite boring and you would have lost patience with it very quickly. Its about some 'genetically enginereed' guniea-pigs who are like spy's and what happens to them when they are put into a pet-shop and escape etc. I wouldn't bother with this film if you are going to see it in 2D but i would definitely see it if it is in 3D!!
