I spent months wishing to see Tintin, I had high hopes and big expectations for the movie.... and I wasn't disappointed one bit, in fact I was shocked how great it was! The story grabs you from the opening minutes, you can't help but be sucked into the movie and want to keep watching. The story is deep with a lot of elements however they're easy to follow and keep track of. The characters are colourful, each stands out and have their own personality. Tintin's character seems just like he should be, snowy is just as he should be; and Captain Haddock is just as dumwitted and amusing as you could ever hope. You follow them as they embark on their astonishing adventure across the world. A journey which is filled with dangerous and excitement at every turn! This is a must see movie, something for the entire family. Brilliant from Start To Finish!!

Wow, this brings me back to my childhood. I absolutely loved Herge's books and the subsequent original cartoons. Technology has made the animations more lifelike and the result is a great family adventure for original fans and for those who are new to Tintin. I for one can wholly recommend this and will be purchasing it myself.

Tin Tin buys a model boat at the local market and before he knows it he becomes deeply involved with some sinister characters and must solve a mystery- The Secret of the Unicorn!
I was a little wary when I saw the Tin Tin film was being made in CGI but the film is good and captures some of the adventure and mystery from the original cartoons. The 3D isnt crucial but at times enhances the film, especially in the Chase scenes.
The voice overs are good and feature a host of British talent Its also quite refreshing to see a character like Haddock who spends most of the film looking for any kind of Alcohol to drink.
Personally I would have liked to see a cartoon film aided with CGI for extra effect but overall its a good effort and would probably watch a sequel!

Spielberg is back on solid ground!

And in returning to his family friendly roots he's delivered a truly fun, lavish and spectacular looking adventure crossing oceans and deserts along the way!

When intrepid reporter Tintin (Jamie Bell) buys a model of the famous lost ship, the Unicorn, he unwittingly finds himself almost immediately drawn into a globetrotting adventure spanning the globe, hinging on the secret of the location of a long lost treasure beyond imagination! With him, only his trusty sidekick Snowy and new ally Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) to solve the mystery.

After what I did find a slightly stodgy starting twenty minutes while the set up is put into place the film then launches headlong into an almost non-stop collection of set-pieces that dazzle the eyes and represent impeccable visual effects from start to finish. With almost spot on voice casting and performances from the cast, with Spielberg's eye for fantastical action (with a couple of quick nods to some of his previous films as well) sequences (especially an amazing sea battle between two ships) this is a great family film that kids should love and adults should also be kept entertained by.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing, and hope that I can continue the adventures of Tintin in more films!
