But this film is legendary, so funny... Kick Ass character is a geeky kid, but a fab hero... COMEDY LEGEND

I absolutely love this film, as well as the comic. Even if you aren't in to comic books or super heroes this is still a film that can entertain pretty much anyone, as long as you don't mind a bit of bad language and some quite raw violence.
The action scenes are spot on, draw you in and have you on the edge of your seat, and all the characters (with maybe the exception of HitGirl) are totally believable yet totally hilarious at the same time.
Usually with comic book adaptations you are left feeling that "the comic book was much better than the movie", but in this rare occasion I would say this works better as a movie, and the only things that have been changed through the process (which are very few) have only been changed to make the story work better.
Over all whether you have read the comic book or not, and whether you like the whole superhero genre or not, I would still recommend this film, it delivers on every level you would expect this kind of movie to.
Cannot wait for the sequel!

Not sure what to expect when I watched this film, I had no expectations and I was pleasantly surprised.

Great film, great story line, funny and meaningful.

Hopefully there will be a part 2.

Watch it you will not be disappointed.

I was pretty apprehensive about this film thinking it was going to be some kids movie.

But i must apologise i was mistaken. Having watched this at the cinema the first time i came to thoroughly enjoy the film. It took me by surprise and was much better than anticipated.

The storyline and acting was very good. Matthew Vaughn has done an excellent job directing too.

I decided to get this one on DVD too. Recommend!

This is definately one of the best films i've seen in years!! The film has so much to offer which others films i've seen hasn't really had, eg comedy, action, adventure, all in one film! it was fantastic to watch to! but in one particular scene where there were a few people in it they absolutely spoiled it with the flames being animated because it was so poorly done and did not look real at all! i would say the scene but it's a bit difficult as i might spoil it for some people. anyway i'd recommend it and i'm going to get the dvd asap!

  Ok Film, No Biggie

Bought this film having being told it is an excellent film with lots of laughs but i found it was a bit boring with very few funny moments.

Sublime movie... special DVD lesser so.

When I saw Kick Ass at the cinema, I found myself enjoying almost every minute, and I was left with a feeling that made me want to go back and experience it all over again. It's not the most believable story, and often has moments where it feels like it's existence was merely to shock the audience and push the bar, but thankfully, it was written and directed so well that it turned out to be so much more.
So of course, I was thoroughly looking forward to it's DVD release, and even more excited when I saw that Play.com had their own special edition of it. Upon arrival of the DVD, I felt slightly disappointed. The concept is a good one - what you receive is a cardboard sleeve with a hole in the front. In this hole, you can see the image of one of the interchangeable art cards, which fit snugly alongside the DVD itself in the sleeve. Sadly, the manufacture quality of the sleeve wasn't that great a quality, and the texture of the cardboard looks as though it would be easy to see scratch marks, since printing imperfections can also be clearly seen. I may sound nitpicky here, but the way the box is folded also leaves some clear imperfections, as does the cutting of the side of each of the art cards, and the hole in the front of the box, which also have a couple of small tears. Since the art cards already snazz the box up, it would've been nice to have the standard box art for the DVD itself, at least as a reversible sleeve, but the cover art is the same as the one on the art cards, which seems a little pointless to me.
Another disappointing aspect about the DVD is the special features on offer, of which comprise of a featurette and a commentary. In comparison to the 17.99 version which includes not only further special features, but also a copy of the film on Blu Ray, the amount of special features on offer here are a big disappointment.
All in all, the quality of the box and special features on offer don't do the film justice, and instead serve as a very small compliment to the movie, which, on it's own, is one of the best films this year.
