Definitive promos on DVD from the Bristol Massive!

Over the past decade Massive Attack have established themselves as one of the most innovative and influential bands. Full stop. Not only has their music been embraced by critics and the public alike so have their videos, which means that the prospect of a Massive Attack DVD featuring all their promos is some treat. The band have worked with some of the most talented and insightful directors in their field - Baillie Walsh, Stefan Sedanoui, Michel Gondry, Johnathan Glazer, Walter Stern and Wiz - who have created some of the most visually and conceptually stunning videos ever produced.

The DVD contains eleven videos - all are full length, director's cuts. Some have rarely been seen, and in fact 'Angel' has never been seen by the viewing public.

Robert Del Naja explains: 'I wanted to undesign it rather than design it, the reason being that this is a retrospective work - it's a collection of videos from the last three albums and I felt that no one piece of artwork could summarise the work that we've done. So I decided to minimise it and take away all the packaging so that it almost looks like data. This is in keeping with the feel of the DVD generally. I didn't want to do loads of extras; I just wanted to keep it simple on every level. But if anyone is really inclined, they can go to the website and download their own artwork.'

In the light of recent events Massive Attack will be donating the royalties from sales of their DVD to the Red Cross.
