Christian [Ewan McGregor], a young writer with a magical gift for poetry, defies his bourgeois father by moving to the bohemian underworld of Montmartre, Paris. He is taken in by the absinthe- soaked artist Toulouse- Lautrec, whose party- hard life centres around the Moulin Rouge, a world of sex, drugs, electricity & the shocking Can-Can. Just absolutely love this movie, every bit of it from start to finish, every character, every song... EVERYTHING! Brilliant, genius, every single actor in this movie delivers and what a great if not heartbreaking story. It took me 2 watches to really get it as the first time was such a surprise as it is a fantasy adventure and love story like no other, but once you get it you too will be singing along to every note. Simply one of the best films ever made. Can't wait for the Blu Ray version..... Anyone?

This film is spectacular.....
I recommend it for everyone, i have watched it many times since ive bought it and i never get bored of it. The music the actors the story line is fabulous. BUY IT, YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY !

When i first saw this i was a nervous about what to think! But in the end thought that it was a really good film! Brilliant music & acting by Nicole Kidman! This is the type of film that requires you to sit down and have plenty of time to watch & understand the story!
