I don't normaly write reviews but this needs one. I loved the 1st 2 GOAL! films and have waited so long for the 3rd, only to be derverstaed by what they have done.
They had might aswell of called Match Of The Day!! Basicly a highlights program, with rubish acting!!
It has nothing to do witht the 1st 2 films, Santi is nothing to do with it, no Glen or Roz, not even a mention, they had might aswell not exist!
I hope the directors know what they have done, maybe they should be sent some of these reviews!!! I think if everyone that has brought this DVD put all their money togther we could of made a better 3rd film!!!!
Worst film ever seen or should i say first half hour of a film i have ever seen, no idea what they were thinking when they made this, I cant believe someone would even go ahead with a script like this. Vampire films, So random- What the hell is that all about. If you do decide to go ahead and purchase this your crazy, I can watch almost any film and enjoy them but this is just a massive let down from start to half hour in and im guessing to the end but cant be certain. Dont watch its not got the magic of the first too, massive disapointment. Shame on them for ever making this film and ruining something that was great.
P.s I cant believe someone gave this 3 stars, If i could have givin it minus numbers i would have but 1 star was the lowest i could go
do not get this film wast of money and trust me i love goal 1 and 2 you wait 3 years 2 find out what happens 2 santi n roz n santi is hardly in the film roz isnt in the film none of the other people are n there is 2 new people in it who are the main people dosnt answer 1 question from number 2 this is a discusting !!!!!!!!!
When Goal first hit the screen everyone went crazy it was like no football film had every been it was brilliant. Then come along Goal 2 now i thought this was good but not as good as the first one, but there was so many questions left to anwer when it ended that you wanted Goal 3 out so you could find out. So after 3 year wait Goal 3 comes out, now straight away it says something when it goes straight to DVD. What a load of rubbish there was no football in it just hightlights, santay said about 5 words and it was just utter rubbish. It was not belivable. I advise anyone not to watch this film because it spoils the other two, someone needs to make Goal 4 and put some time and effort into it and make it more like the first one. Answer the questions that we want to no, No wonder there were no good actors in this film. Who would want to star in it.
For two years, I have been waiting for the third and final installment of the Goal! trilogy. Working in football myself, the detail of the first two films was fantastic and the access to the clubs (Newcastle & Madrid) was what made these films special. A likeable lead character and a great rags to riches story; the second film left the story with questions expected to be answered in the third film. Santiago's girlfriend was pregnant, he had found his long-lost mother and brother, Gavin Harris was working for a new contract and his relationship with Glenn Foy - the man who got him to Newcastle in the first Goal! film - needed fixing. So, those questions will be answered in the third film. Right? Wrong.
Goal III answers none of the above questions, has no Ros, no Gavin Harris, no Glenn Foy - no interaction with real life players, with real life clubs and - most importantly - in a series of films which are meant to follow the trials and tribulations of Santiago Munez, follows two unlikeable footballers who are his team mates. Kuno Becker doesn't kick a ball, he has twelve lines and doesn't have any relevance to the film at all.
After the excitement leading up to watching this film, as the end credits rolled, I was left nothing short of furious. A character that I really liked in a story that was one of the most realistic in relation to the modern day celebrity of footballers had been destroyed by this load of rubbish.
I don't even want this DVD on my shelf, let alone next to the first two Goal! films that this third has single handedly ruined.
