 A fishy tale

The great thing about this movie is that you have to watch it 5 times before you get what is going on! A twisted plot with some brilliant special effects (the explosion) and a solid cast all make for a good evening's entertainment.

 Great action thriller

This is one of those rare films that you can watch about ten times, even though you think you have all the twists worked out, and you'll still find something new.

The four main leads really carry the film well, especially as they are acting roles that they that were not generally type casted for until this film. Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry both successfully playing more low-keyed characters compared to their X-Men characters of their previous hit movie. Then John Travolta playing the cool, evil agent that many people wish James Bond would be when he faced the bad guys, and John Cheadle playing the inquistive cop that seems to help bind the story together.

Also, let's not forget Vinnie Jones' second Hollywood appearence adding a element of London Hard man to Travolta's crew.

This is a great action film, but don't think that you can follow the story unless you concentrate.

Here's a film I really liked the first time, it was fast paced and high on the action but I have seen this quite a few times now and while I am not bored with it. It doesnt have the same kind of impact it had on me the very first time.

However this film does have something I will never get tired of seeing, the explosion scene where people are flying sideways is awesome, particularly in the sound department if you have a surround system.

The parts where Hugh Jackmans character is sat infront of a computer are a major stumbling block for me. These parts slow the film down and this is an action film so I dont see the sense in putting so much of the computer stuff in.

However its Hugh Jackman who saves this film from being just another average action flick. This actors star power is surely going to keep on rising as this is yet ajnother great performance from him.

Computers have never been so interesting

Swordfish is the type of film that keeps you hooked for the full duration, you have everything you need, from the violence to Hale Berry half naked and everything in between, plus a very very nice TVR. It is quite a clever film and you can't help but love good old John Travolta who plays the character very well.

 Awesome Opening & Great Film

One of the best films I have ever seen.

The best opening I have ever seen in a film - the explosion with surround sound still gives me goosebumps as things whistle past your head! And Travolta's opening dialog really sets the film up.

Travolta is at his over the top best and Jackman is excellent as the hacker who'll do anything to see his daughter. The action scenes are brilliant and the soundtrack great (Paul Oakenfold was involved so to be expected).

Have seen this more times than I can think and am buying a replacement after the original was lost - that's how good this film is!
