Based on the true story of carl brashear..the deep sea diver who changed the face of the u.s navy.. Cuba gooding jnr in a role deserving of an oscar,plays carl,and robert deniro plays billy sunday,the training officer assigned who wants no part of carls ambitions. He drives carl beyond the normal level of endurance in an attempt to get him to quit. Over time the two men come together to protect their honour and lives. Also starring charlize theron,this film will bring the old tear to the eyes for the bravery and courage of one man. How this film didnt win oscars baffles me,but still oscar winning performances from both main leads. History is made by men of honour.

I purchased this a few days ago and I was very impressed.

The story line was fantastic with great acting by Mr Gooding and Mr De Niro.

The story line was inspirational - you think its going one way then it twists and turns. A must see, value for money epic!
