This is a great romantic/comedy + a little sience fiction (timeloop) and one of the better movies i have seen in a while. I remember seeing the trailer for it on an old VHS and thought it looked pretty good, but i never had the time to look for it... Enough about that...

Bill Murray is doing a great job in this one doing this many similliar scenes so many times as the day starts over and over.
What do you do if you got all the time in the world... even more...
You can do whatever you want but, no matter what you do, you will wake up in the same bed on the same day... Watch and rate yourself!

I can reccomend The Butterfly Effect if you like this, but it may aply more to a different audience since Ashton Kutcher is the main actor.

Imagine reliving the same single day over and over again, imagine the possabilities, imagine the mischeif and good you could cause. This film is even funnier than the last time i watched it, and it touches on the downside to experiencing the same day again and again. It's constant deja-vu.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars It's deja vu all over again

Overall the film's cinematography and sets work pretty well but as the emphasis is on the characters its not really worth mentioning aside from what I've just said. The music is another thing which is very good. The score by George Fenton is excellent and fresh. It doesn't sound like something we've heard before and therefore adds to the originality of the film which is already substantial.
The whole concept of the film might sound a bit pretentious but it doesn't feel that way. In fact it feels very down to earth because of the characters' believable reactions and seemingly genuine emotions.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars A film to watch time after time after time after time ......

This has to be one of my favourite films of all time.
Not only is the storyline quite unique but so are all the performances by this quite briliiant cast. Bill Murray is at his best, playing an weatherman who is reporting on the Groundhog Festival, only to find that he keeps reliving the same day over and over again. To say anymore would spoil an incredibly intelligent, funny and touching film.
The surprising thing about this gem of a movie is that it explores many of the possibilities which one would explore if they were in this situation, which leads to many hilarious outcomes, as well as those which strike a serious note.
This is definetly a MUST for any DVD collection, simply for its unique storyline.

This movie is my all time favourite. Ive watched it more times than I can count. Bill Murray at his very best as the unlikeable weatherman who gets trapped in a time warp, and lives February 2nd Groundhog Day over and over again until he finally gets his act together and wins his lady, the lovely Andy Macdowell.Totally brilliant, with a great supporting cast. The editors commentary is great too. A must buy classic, and amazing value at £5.00!!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Most Fun Ever, again and again and again and..........

Phil Connors is in for a shook when tomorrow turns out to be today and the next day was yesterday and so on... An incredibly funny film with the moral being based in a buddhist teaching. Fun for the whole family.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Phil Connors wants out - again and again and...!

Great casting of Bill Murray and Andie McDowell in this modern day fairytale-type story. Bill as Phil Connors wants to leave the Punxsatawney Groundhog Day but can't and finds he is waking up on the same day, day after day... but can he change his ways?

Many great lines throughout the film, including my favourite concerning the insurance salesman Ned Ryerson in the street - this is a film that is fun for the whole family.

This ranks as one of my favourite films. Enjoy!
