From Academy Award-winning director Robert Redford comes a wondrous film that celebrates the immense power and infinite potential of the human spirit.
Will Smith, Matt Damon and Charlize Theron star in this highly acclaimed tale of a local hero with a promising future, whose hopes are shattered on the battlefields of war. Disillusioned and angry, the young man turns his back on the world -- until a fateful visit from a mysterious stranger turns his life around. With an irresistible blend of humor, romance and inspiring entertainment, The Legend of Bagger Vance is "as perfect as any film could get" (Earl Dittman, Wireless Magazine).

Although it's not one of Matt Damon's and Will Smith's usual 'high tempo', exhilarating, action films; they both pull off amazing performances and convey their characters and the legend brilliantly. I'm not usually one for golf flicks but the script and cinematography simply bring the story to life and make you care about who can make putt.

Pretty good.
Normally wouldn't be into golf, but this film is truly quite brilliant for a golfing film.
Quite moving, and also quite dramatic. Everything seems to fit perfectly. The music sets the scenes wonderfully, Will Smith plays an absolutely incredible performance, you might as well just watch it for his part.
But he doesn't come in till later on in the film.
I don't think Matt Damon and Will Smith were the best actors for these parts. Evn though did very well, it's just how did Matt Damon Go from the Bourne Identity, and Will Smith from Bad Boys to go to this.
Although this is a decent film the reason it lost two stars for me was that you drift off in places and sort of stop paying attention to the film.
The extras acting in the background was quite lame but still is a decent movie.
