Emmy-nominated Family Guy is back, and more offensive than ever. Season 8 on DVD features extended episodes that were just too rude for TV!

In this season, the Griffin clan gets into twisted trouble when Peter is injected with a 'gay gene' as part of a scientific experiment, Lois lands a job at Fox News, Stewie builds a time machine, and Brian travels back to Poland, 1939, and gets caught up in the Nazi invasion.

Episodes Comprise:

1. Back to the Woods
2. Play it Again Brian
3. The Former Life of Brian
4. Long John Peter
5. Baby Not On Board
6. I Dream of Jesus
7. Love Blactually
8. Road to Germany
9. The Man With the Two Brains
10. Tales of a Third Grade Nothing
11. Ocean's Three and a Half
12. Family Gay
13. The Juice is Loose

  • Extended episodes with Optional Audio Commentaries for each
  • Deleted Scenes - too rude for TV!
  • 3 animatic episodes with optional commentaries
  • 4 Featurettes: Take me out to place tonight, Family guy Cribz, Comic-Con 2008, Family Guy Art Show

This is where Family Guy has gone wrong!

The creator of Family guy 'Seth MacFarlane' said himself that he wanted to continue making Family Guy "until it began to suck". I hate to say it but this is a season too far. Seth has sold out by accepting a huge wage increase to continue making Family Guy for Fox.. In such a small space of time Family Guy has lost is edge with repeated jokes from other seasons and similar plot lines which makes watching this season feel like De ja Vu. Anyone who thinks differently clearly has only recently discovered Family Guy off BBC Three and thinks the new season is great because they have no prior knowledge of how great the previous seasons were. If you still wish to buy this season to complete your collection i would advise waiting until the price decreases as this season is not worth the RRP.

 Shock tactics jokes fail

Each of the new seasons of family guy start out funny BUT as they go on They run out of jokes so they try "Shock tactics jokes" but they don't work . And thats what your getting with this season. Some funny stuff but mostly rubbish sick jokes. And it's a shame.

 Embarrassingly unfunny

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this series was the worst ever.. even after multiple viewings there are hardly any laugh out loud moments. None spring to mind anyway.

Was it because of the writers strike that the USA suffered a while back? Maybe, maybe not. But the bottom line is that this series doesn't compare to the last 4 or 5.

Buy it if you're an avid fan, but avoid it and buy earlier dvd's if you have seen a few older episodes on TV and want to buy a full series here.

Family Guy now plays second fiddle to South Park these days :/

 not very good

As an avid family guy fan i have loved every season so far. All but season 8 were excellent. I will still buy this dvd but there was too much dead air. Conway twitty jokes drag on too long. On previous seasons twitty is on briefly but now you get full songs to make up for the lack of material. And the episodes dont come close to being as funny as earlier seasons. I willl still purchase this dvd but mcfarlane will have to up his game.

Top 100 Games Reviewer

Ok so its Family guy, so its a given that there are some real laugh out loud moments here - however I wouldn't say its the best series thus far, the jokes are occasionally few and far between in episodes and the writing just isn't as good as it has been or previous series. There seems to be a little too much reliance on the punchline being a swearword - certainly the amount of profanity has increased noticeably. Not really an issue, but occasionally it feels like a lazy punchline.

Generally its business as usual, with the random factor increased yet again. Some of the gags are borderline offensive, but thats family guy. Worth a go anyway.
