Review

When a young girl mysteriously disappears, Police Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) travels to a remote island to investigate. But this pastoral community, led by the strange Lord Summerisle (a brilliant performance by the legendary Christopher Lee), is not what it seems as the devout Christian detective soon uncovers a secret society of wanton lust and pagan blasphemy. Can Howie now stop the cult's ultimate sacrifice before he himself comes face to face with the horror of The Wicker Man?

This restored and extended release of The Wicker Man provides admirers of the movie with the definitive DVD version of one of the great horror masterpieces of all time. Along with the integration of 15 minutes of rarely seen footage, it also includes an all-new audio commentary which marks this release out from all previous editions.

best horror movie ever

when i first saw this film, i was only 14 but it is the best ever horror i have still ever viewed. great actors and a superb story but the final 30 minutes of the movie is really mind blowing. a must see film for fans of classic 70s horror movies. edward woodward and christopher lee are totally unique and believable in every way.
