British intelligence officer is sent to investigate an anonymous letter sent to the foreign secretary accusing a key officer of communist affiliation. When the officer commits suicide, the investigator suspects murder and presses his inquiry. The culprit is finally exposed in a surprise climax.

This film is an absolute James Mason classic and despite my bias of it being one of my most favourtie films ever, it is so well worth watching! A classic spy thriller with performances to die for - this is what you call real acting!
Hardly ever released, just buy it to get hooked! The film score is ace too.....!
