A severed hand beckons from an open grave!
A British expedition team in Egypt discovers the ancient sealed tomb of the evil Queen Tera. But when one of the archaeologists steals a mysterious ring from the corpse's severed hand, he unleashes a relentless curse upon his beautiful daughter. Is the voluptuous young woman now a reincarnation of the diabolical sorceress or has the curse of the mummy returned to reveal its horrific revenge?
One of Hammer's most notorious productions, Blood From The Mummy's Tomb was plagued by the sudden deaths of director Seth Holt and the wife of original star Peter Cushing, leading to rumours of a real-life curse. Andrew Keir (Quatermass And The Pit) and the luscious Valerie Leon star in this supernatural shocker based on Bram Stoker's classic novel, Jewel Of The Seven Stars.

hammer horror excelled with this dreamlike film.
it is extremely atmospheric and very creepy even by todays standards.
there is plenty of blood although not overly gory but just enough to keep this masterpeice going.
i thoroughly enjoyed it and i recommend this film to everyone who is interested in watching all of those classic hammer horror films.
and i know why this is one of the top ten greatest hammer films made.
Valerie leon is an amazing actress and able to play vulnerable, creepy, and hero not to mention dual personality very well she rocks.
Stirring stuff!

Older filmgoers will best remember Valerie Leon as the buxom brunette from the Hi-Karate aftershave advert. Here she plays a sultry Egyptian Princess exuding erotic menace. The sort of corny Hammer horror that many of us enjoyed in the early hours of the morning when our parents had gone to bed, this is certainly worth staying up to watch - if you remember Hi Karate, anyway!
