From the best-selling master of darkness...
Celebrated horror genius Garth Marenghi introduces his long-lost television project: a haunting medical drama set in Romford.
The best-selling writer is already known to hundreds as the creative force behind such classic chillers as The Ooze (can water die?), Afterbirth (a mutated placenta attacks Bristol) and Black Fang (rats learn to drive).
Darkplace was originally filmed in the 1980s and has since earned a cult reputation as one of the most terrifying and radical television programmes ever made.
Even now, Garth warns that the show, which he describes as an effort to radicalise men's minds, may prove 'too subversive, too dangerous, too damn scary'.

How can Channel 4 let a show like this disappear into obscurity? It's a sin!
I can't think of anything bad to say about this series. It is up there with some of the other great comedies. Personally for me this is the BEST comedy of this side of the millenium. I'll treasure this forever and scold at Channel 4 for snubbing this for crap like "Star Stories and Friday night project"
Buy it and lap up the genius!!

Genius and SO underrated on it's TV release.
I love this show, it came before The IT Crowd and Mighty Boosh (both Matthew Holness & Richard Ayoade appear in these shows and Fielding & Barratt in this) and should have been as much a hit as those shows.
I love Matthew Holness & Richard Ayoade - both sex gods in my deluded opinion.
I guarantee that you've never seen anything quite like this - it's a 70's spoof sci-fi show, with supernatural goings on, but with a contemporary sense of humour.
Really smart, well made and a joy to watch!
Garth is an author genius who will take you to his dark place and you'll never come back!
If you love the Boosh or Spaced, you'll love this too.
At £5.99 it's a complete bargain for the whole series!
