- DOCUMENTARY DANGEROUS DAYS: MAKING BLADE RUNNER A feature-length authoritative documentary revealing all the elements that shaped this hugely influential cinema landmark. Cast, crew, critics and colleagues give a behind-the-scenes, in-depth look at the film -- from its literary roots and inception through casting, production, visuals and special effects to its controversial legacy and place in Hollywood history.
Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) prowls the steel-and-microchip jungle of 21st century Los Angeles. He's a "blade runner" stalking genetically made criminal replicants. His assignment: kill them. Their crime: wanting to be human.
The story of Blade Runner is familiar to countless fans. But few have seen it like this. Because this Director Ridley Scott's own vision of his sci-fi classic. This new version omits Deckard's voiceover narration, develops in slightly greater detail the romance between Deckard and Rachael (Sean Young) and removes the "uplifting" finale. The result is a heightened emotional impact: a great film, made greater. Most intriguing of all is a newly included unicorn vision that suggests Deckard may be a replicant. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Is Deckard a replicant? As with all things in the future, you must discover the answer to find yourself.

After several years of waiting and waiting for Blade Runner to be cleaned and remastered the wait has finally ended.
Blade Runner the Final Cut is the version of he film that Ridley Scott had originally intended and I have to say in my opinion I agree. Harrison Fords narration is still ommited, the unicorn scene slightly extended and other scenes slightly tweeked that I do not want to spoil if you have never seen the film before.
The picture is excellent considering this film was made in 1982 and handles the dark mood of the film very well. The sound too is very good and to hear Vangelis's soundtrack (which too I recommend) in all its glory is a joy.
A top film that is always a joy to watch and will never die. Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic is a must not only for fans of the genre, but for fans of film in general. Love it!!!!!!
Great movie - but why only 2 discs?

This is one of the best modern films of all time, 5 stars, but this HD package is no where near as good as the US package. There is a five disc DVD box so why not a 5 disc HD box set like the Americans get? If you just want the new cut of the movie buy this, if you want to be able to choose from all 5 cuts of the movie head over to PlayUSA and order the US HD-DVD boxset in the voight kampf briefcase.
amazing!
