This is everything tarantino is meant to be. One of the best of it's genre type out there. It's well written, and funny.

Though it's true the accents aren't great. The main problem there in my opinion being most actors don't realise that, like Scotland, (or anywhere really), there are regional dialects. So a 'generic' accent always sounds false. Almost as bad as Scots actors being nearly always cast as Irish (or that in the few roles where a Scot plays a Scot it's always glasgow, like Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee don't exist) . That's a personal bugbear though:).

I have to say however that Connolly as Il Duce is brilliantly over the top.

I am much looking forward to the long delayed sequel 'All Saints Day'

This is one of my favourite films of all time, I am not normally so definate in my opinions and this does not fit into my normal genre of film but there is just something about "The Boondock Saints" that makes me smile everytime I watch it.

This film is very intelligently written and directed, acted superbly (apart from the Irish accents) and has comedy running through even in its darker moments.

When you combine the supremely camp Smecker played brilliantly by Willem Dafoe, the comedy value of Rocco played with great style by David Della Rocco, the believable relationship and possible psychotic behaviour of the two brothers Connor & Murphy (stereotypical I know but still believable) acted to perfection (minus the accents) by Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus respectively, the complete miscasting which works perfectly of Billy Connolly as the disturbing Il Duce and the very well acted supporting roles you end up with a superb piece of film.

This film does have it's share of "fan-boys" that can sometimes cloud peoples views of a film but on the whole I would say it was a classic.
