This Multi Regional so it should play on most Blu Ray's.
If you already own the theatrical cut you maybe asking why invest in this Extended Cut? Basically it flushes out the characters more, with more interaction between John and the God Squad and also the mercs. this better justifies his reason to taking up arms. Even the titles has changed to the less confusing " John Rambo" There are subtle changes to some of the scenes and the whole film feels more satisfying. The added nine minutes do add a lot to this movie and the bonus features include an in depth video diary of Stallone's struggle filming it. Of course the film is as subtle as a brick about the struggles in Burma, but that's not the point, as from the point when Rambo picks up the bow there is so much carnage it's hard not to be swept along for the ride.
A guilty pleasure classic.
See if you like.......
First Blood.
Rambo First Blood part II
Rambo III
The Expendables.
The Expendables 2
Red Dawn (1984 / 2012 )
Cobra.
Red Scorpion.

This is the first time i have ever purchased a Extended Cut dvd.And i was very suprised on how different it is to the Cinema/dvd versions.Stallone has given Rambo more of a personalty and heart. Some of the action is so much better in this version,as it ties up some of the loose edges. There is more and better dialog from Rambo. And the ending has a nice suprise!!,The new version of Rambo is only 9 mins longer but makes it a better film.More is explained

Added to this is a documentry Rambo To Hell And Back,Which gives us a nice view of Stallones movie making as director.,which runs for 30 mins.

If you are a STALLONE Fan or just like Rambo, this version is very well recommended. Ive seen it 3 times since i have bought it..Pure Stallone,Pure Rambo!!
