I was impressed when I removed this from the box, but even more impressed when I turned it on and seen the blue-coloured (neon-effect) lights on the front of it... it's very modern-looking and fits in nicely in my kitchen.
It was easy to setup using the built-in auto-tuning feature and it seems to find all the channels first time (took about 10mins to auto-tune). It supports both digital & analogue TV (if you can still even get that?).
I was further impressed once I had it up & running as the picture-quality is pretty decent. The fact that you can angle the screen for optimal viewing is also a nice touch.
The blue-lit buttons I previously mentioned (along the bottom of the front of the unit) are not your traditional 'push-in' buttons either- they're touch sensitive. Again, a nice modern touch and I guess this is also for safety reasons (so you can touch the buttons with wet hands without shocking yourself or damaging the product).
Another big plus is that it comes with a waterproof remote control, which is ideal for a product that will be living in the kitchen. Whilst I never stuck it in a sink-full of water to test out how well it works, it does look like a very well-designed bit of kit & I have every bit of faith that if the wife accidently drops it in the sink (which she no-doubt will at some point!), it will survive.
Very innovative product which fits nicely into my gadget-stricken kitchen, whilst also keeping the wife happy as she can watch her soaps whilst doing the washing up (I cook, she cleans!).
The fact that it folds away for convenience when not in use, I would consider its primary selling point; it's the main reason I (and probably you), would buy one. Although after seeing it now, first hand - I'm also very happy with its modern looks- impressive. The black gloss finish is also a nice touch as it allows it to blend in with my dark-coloured kitchen units.
Overall: worth every penny, and definitely something our friends will all take a liking to next time we have them over to dinner.
