Awful sound quality an no headphones socket

I have to agree with the other review on the sound quality; I only wish that review was up before I bought mine for use wall-mounted in the kitchen.

I know sound from all LED/LCD TVs is poorer due to the thinness of the TV, indeed I have bought other small LED TVs where reviews said the sound was bad but I thought the sound was fine - so I'm obviously not as fussy as other people. However, the sound from this is TERRIBLE and it doesn't matter what settings you mess with nothing will improve it - I really didn't understand the phrase 'tinny sound' till I heard this. I too thought I could maybe improve the sound by plugging in a cheap pair of computer speakers or possibly buying a cheap sound but there is no headphone socket (which in itself is terrible for a TV that is likely to be used in a bedroom). There are no outputs from this TV at all - all the connections are meant purely for inputs so short of modifying with a soldering iron and invalidating any warranty you will be stuck with the sound that it came with.

Also the EPG on this is annoying as hell, it just shows the current show by default - you have to press multiple direction buttons several times to get to see what's on a single channel later.

I'm now considering using this as purely as a PC monitor on a secondary PC and buying something a LOT better which should be very easy considering how bad the sound on this is. The awful sound and the lack of a headphone socket have totally put me off ever buying any Kogan products in the future. The lack of reviews on the net should have put me off, lesson well and truly learnt on this.

Poor sound with NO audio output

I brought this TV as a spare. The sound quality is what lets this TV down. For the price the picture is good for the price; however the speakers are very poor, with a hissing and as there seems to be NO audio output so you cant put the sound through anything else. I am considering selling this one off and spending a little more to get something with audio out.
