Motion plus has several settings. The lowest setting has minimal benefit but suffers no artifacts. The higher settings produce impressive smoother motion but at a cost. Whilst it impressively handles slower pans and motion It does find it difficult to cope with faster ones, leaving either a blocky disturbance or brief lag for a noticeable fraction of a second. Its up to you to find the right balance.
Sound is impressive and thankfully has a five band graphic equaliser for you to tailor to your taste. I personally hate the SRS WOW effect found on any TV, but if you have a 5.1 setup you won't need it.
If you watch a lot of standard def TV then maybe this isn't the set for you. It does okay but doesn't quite get it right. However, it excels with it's built-in Freeview HD Tuner, Sky HD and Bluray output.
Picture Settings such as brightness and contrast will need to be adjusted for each source input, but the good news is they are remembered per input. So taking the time to calibrate each one will only need to be done once.
The reflective screen is a bit of a pain despite Samsung's 'Ultra Clear Panel' boast, but then the majority of models these days have them. Just don't watch dark films like Batman in a light room.
Displays photos and images beautifully via the USB ports. Crop any photos you have to 1920x1080 and you have a humungus digital photo frame.
Touch sensitive, discrete controls on the front of the bezel are a neat feature. The crows foot stand is not to everyone's taste but I kinda like it.
All in all a purchase I don't think you'll be disappointed in.
