 A Quality LCD TV

I was always a bit sceptical about buying TV's with built in Freeview Tuner so I did a lot of browsing and watching at my local store before the purchase, and I have to say I am very impressed with this. As soon as you get it out of the box, you can feel and see the quality, the white gloss finish looks very stylish. The face of the TV hasn't been overwhelmed with buttons, they have been placed on the side, so if your a minimalistic kind of person then you'll love it.
The picture quality of the Freeview channels are superb... seriously. I've seen a lot of channels on other TV's that look very grainy with colour distortion, well I kid you not, some channels are so sharp they almost look DVD quality.
Lastly, I have hooked my XBOX to this via the HDMI... WOW!!! So if you're thinking of connecting your PS3, XBOX or whatever gadget you have with HD capabilities, please take my word for it that the images look super sharp.

I really cannot fault this product so I have to give it a full 5 stars.

Really not as good as I first thought...

I just got this today and it's very nice overall!
* Picture - 2/5 Nice clean images, good dymanic contrast ratio and overall image clarity. The colours on my set are now looking really faded, games still look good but DVD's are definetly not where near as vibrant or punchy with colour as I'm used to seeing.
The HDMI makes images too sharp, even with the sharpness toned down the images glare off the screen and look un-natural...
* Sound 3/5 It's a 19" LCD so the sound isn't going to be amazing or anything but it's pretty good too. The set has a Bass Enhancer which doesn't really do anything but I've turned it on anyway!
* Controls/ Use All great, the remote takes a bit of getting used to, there's no obvious way to enter the AV menu, I was searching around for 5 mins looking how to enter it... the manual that comes with the TV is pretty awful, the features aren't really that well explained or detailed.
The tv doesn't have a great number of useful features and the Dynamic backlight will switch itself off if your changing the picture modes...

Overall a good effort by Toshiba, nice tv for a kids room or guest room.

EDIT: I can no longer put up with the washed out colours, it looks really quite awful - the component picture mode offers the best images but even here DVD's still lack certain colour tones and vibracy...

I'd go for the Sharp 19" LCD because it's got amazing features and stunning colours!

Worth every penny. Great picture, excellent sound and solid build. Put's most smaller LCD TV's to shame.
