I don't have anything bad to say about this player. I bought mine in June 2010 when I converted to Blu-Ray (after seeing an Avatar sample being played I was sold) and I've loved it since.
+ Will play all audio CDs, Blu-Rays and DVDs. Here in the UK the film would have to be Region 2 or Region Free. I've read people have had problems with other brands/models playing certain films, but no playback problems here.
+ It's 3D ready, so if and when you get a 3D TV, depending if the fad takes off and if you want to watch 3D films then you won't have a problem.
+ Very easy to setup. Menus etc are very easy to navigate.
+ Stunning picture and audio quality. Plently of ports for an external sound system too.
+ Upscales DVDs, so if like me you're only into buying the action/CGI Blu-Ray films at the moment then this is perfect.
+ Very stylish and slim. Not bulky at all.
+ If you have a Sony TV (like me) it's so simple to have both remotes operate the TV.
+ 2 USB ports for playing video films and looking at pictures. One on the front and one on the back.
+ LAN port, so you can plug an internet cable in the back of the unit if in the future you want to give it a Firmware update or want to watch BD Live on certain films. This connection also means you can stream videos online such as: BBC iPlayer, Love Film and YouTube, films, TV series and music to name a few.
Features:
BD Live, Gracenote, Divx HD, DVD Video, Super Audio CD, Compact Disc Digital Audio, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio.
