Just bought one and it's superb ! EXCEPT it's not multi-region...yet !
Multi Region Hack for LG RHT497H:
Switch the player on
When ON hold down CLEAR on remote and PROG Down on the front panel for 6 seconds
A list of codes appear
Change OP6 from aa to 8e
Press Enter and then menu/list on your remote
I brought the 250gb version but everything else is the same. Its never froze or locked up and the menu system is easy to use. You can copy photos and mpeg4 files into the hard drive from usb or cd/dvd discs. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because it has not got a twin tuner and can only record one channel at once.
I all so brought the 250gb version very good apart from the analogue not very good watch the tv is good but rec. off analogue
and its playing back blurred...+ the USB Direct Recording is good
bit slow on the Divxs films// it has fast copy to hhd or discs
on some discs put not all.. maxwell-+ rw// but not philips rw..
