4 Love it, but not for the reasons I thought...Lillii | 14/11/2010 | See all Lillii's reviews (1)*** This review is based on using the alarm clock with an iPod Touch ***The instructions that come with the Edifier are for a linear menu style iPod - which the iPod touch doesn't have. It was therefore impossible to follow them when I plugged in my iPod for the first time, and I was thoroughly confused. After emailing play.com and the Edifier company, I was told that actually - despite the promotional image featuring an iPod touch - the alarm clock's functions don't work with this iPod. You first have to download an alarm clock app (there are many, many out there to choose from) and the Edifier works as speakers.So. I was initially disappointed, but I downloaded the iHome + Sleep app (which I now adore!) and my iPod and Edifier quickly became everything I want from an alarm clock, and I can sleep and wake to my own music. The Edifier's only contribution to this is essentially acting as speakers, but it's so pretty I let it off it's minor fail as an alarm clock! The snooze button on top does work with the iPod touch, so it does have some functionality. In conclusion - I love it, it's cute and bright and allows my iPod to function as an alarm clock. But be warned - it doesn't actually work as an alarm clock itself, it merely allows features either already existing on your iPod (if you have a linear menu) or that you can install on your iPod (if you don't) to work.
