One of the best point and shoots available

This is one of the best point and shoot cameras on the market, well designed, simple to use, very small size (some may find it too small in their hands) and the best feature is the Leica DC Vario lens. Panasonic's partneship with Leica has added real quality to their image quality.
The only thing I don't like is the build quality, a lot of plastic and the battery/card cover feels flimsy but at 105 GBP you can't get everything.
You would have to spend double to better it, and even then I'm not sure it would be that much better?
Intelligent Auto mode is great for beginers and everyday picture taking, and there are a few modes where you can tweak the controls for those who want to.
If you're looking for a camera to carry around with you all the time then this it, but if it falls out your pocket I'm not sure it would survive.

One of the best cameras in its price range!

I bought it last year, paid it about 190 euros. I wanted a good point&shoot and I wanted videos with audio because I go to a lot of concerts (my old 3mp fujifilm shot audioless videos!!!).
I don't give it 5 stars because you can't zoom while shooting videos, you have to set your zoom first and then keep it for the whole video. It can be irritating, but it's the only bad thing about it.
Leica lens are amazing and if you choose a high quality setting the pics you take will look really detailed with or without flash (but they take a lot of space so I go for the 3M quality as I take loads of pictures... and they still look fine).
All in all this is the best for the money. It's light, sturdy enough (still to handle with care), easy to use, has a bunch of nice features, the battery lasts forever (this summer for example I spent 11 days in Dublin, charged it before leaving and never needed to charge!).
