This is a good bargain camcorder which does struggle in the dark but if you are patient and wait for the H20 it is worth the wait as it will be around the same RRP but does 1080i and also is capable of taking 32gb SDHC card not like this that only takes maximum 0f 8gb SDHC!!!!!

 good camcorder

I have just recieved my H10 and i'm impressed with what i have got, this being for the money, the video and sound are very good, the still pics are laggy but after all this is a camcorder, great buy!

 Excellent for the money!

Great buy for the money if your looking for a new camcorder to update your old one. Play's nice footage back on large HDTV's and the SD card make's it easy to transfer footage to your computer's hard drive, the Toshiba Camileo come's with the HDMI lead for HDTV viewing and usb lead for access to your PC if you don't have a SD card reader on your computer. The camera is very user friendly for the average user and does the job great and the size is very handy as it's not that much bigger than an empty toilet roll.

 nice and easy

Very good camcorder,
Extremely easy to use.
Takes excellent still photos.
The video quality is top draw, especially on a hd tv .
Battary life is very long, with very short recharge time as well.
Can't think of any thing bad about it.

 Not a bad little gadget!!

I bought this specifically to film the kids playing around really, nothing more...to have a bit of fun, and it doesnt disappoint. I wasnt expecting great quality having only paid £140 for it and especially as the technology for this type of camcorder is still in its infancy, so in that respect its still good value.

The quality is good when veiwing through the laptop and reduces further slightly when viewing through my 32 inch flatscreen, but its still good enough. Its important to note that it is slighty misleading saying it is a HD camera - because you do not get HD quality movies on screen. I know enough about cameras to know that it takes more than just pixels to give that level of quality. The lens is vital and a host of other quality components are needed make up real HD quality, so just just dont expect it to look like a DVD!!!

Whats v good is the fact its so small, light (fits neatly in your palm) and so easy. All the controls are automatic and basic which is what i wanted (mainly for my partner!!!) so she can film when out at the play groups etc and doesnt want to have to faff about with settings etc. For that its great, you can just filp it open and start filming.

And so if we really use it a lot and get into it I'll probably upgrade in a couple of years to an improved model but this really is a good little gadget that serves its purpose well. If you're a budding film maker and want to use it seriously, pay a bit more!!! But Im happy...
