A great piece of kit, I bought the camcorder as a very portable means of recording. The only major problems I have found with this otherwise slawless camcorder (used in very demanding situations but for normal use I will add, will not suffer) is the lack of Video editing software (Sony Vegas best I found) for the HD footage. Also, it struggles a little recording to the Hard Drive when shaken or vibrated (I use it to record when on handlebars of bike etc which is very demanding)
The camcorder does also struggle a little with it's focus and takes some time to adjust. To say that though, these drawbacks all have options to overcome them when using manual settings. Still photography is ok as you expect for a 4MP camera but I recommend for you to use a digital camera alongside the Sony.
As said, I use the camera in conditions it is not 100% designed for and 95% of the time performs well for the money. play is also the cheapest i found with quick delivery. Thank you Play.
