To meet the increasing demand for high-definition equipment globally, from 2009, Sanyo's Xacti Dual Camera line-up is designed to record high-definition video. High definition comes in two primary types: 720p and 1080p.

Sanyo's VPC-TH1 compact HD model is compatible with 720p (1280 x 720) and is able to record at 30 frames per second. It also takes HD-quality photos, putting high definition into the palm of anyone who uses a Xacti Dual Camera. Also, the VPC-TH1 has an incredible 3-hour 20-minute long continuous recording time-all in HD!
