I bought this as a replacement for a 15 year old analogue clock radio which had started to look a bit dated and had pretty terrible sound quality.
Firstly, I really like the style of this sony and it's size is perfect for a bedside table. The display is nice and big and displays lots of information. It also has 3 brightness settings with the lowest one being perfect for anyone who has to sleep in complete darkness. It has plenty of alarm settings with daily, weekend and weekday modes as a nice addition. Sound quality is good, not amazing, but is nice and crisp and about what you would expect from a single speaker unit like this. Overall a very nice little clock radio which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
As much as I want to like this clock I cant. The clock changes time by itself. + or - 1 hour during the night so you either wake up late or early. Not good for an alarm clock. Why didnt they make it that you can turn off auto time update. Also the alarm is at a low frequency so its a deep sound rather the a high frequency thin ringing sound. There is no adjustable snooze and to set the the alarm there is too many menu's to go through. Also view the alarm time you have to go through the menu. They should have made it that you can choose which preset the radio comes on to with the alarm rather than which ever was the last station you left it on.
I wish this clock worked the way a sony clock should because there is no alternative for me.
