Acoustic Luxury

For 100 years, Denon has passionately engineered some of the world's most acclaimed components for the audio professional and enthusiast alike, now that audio passion can be yours, personally.

A newly designed technology from Denon aims to reduce noise annoyances to your listening experience.

The Radial Cascade Damper inside the ear piece reduces cable transmitted vibration noise that occurs when touching or rubbing the cable while moving.

Ergonomic design for best quality fit and increased comfort.

The C360 earphones are supplied with four sets of soft, compliant silicon earpads that allow the best fit and optimum isolation from extraneous ambient noise.

Acoustic Optimiser achieves optimum acoustic characteristics by adjusting the sound pressure balance in front of and behind the diaphragm. It minimizes muffling in the low frequency range, reduces modulation effects in mid to high frequency range, and achieves a dynamic sound and deep, rich bass response.

There's a new hybrid housing using a combination of elastomer (soft plastic) and ABS plastic for highest fidelity sound reproduction.

The Denon AH-C360 earphones have been created with a powerful 9mm neodymium driver, gold plated jack and a frequency response of 5 - 24,000Hz for exceptional sound quality.

Great headphones at a bargain price!

At the time of writing this review these 'phones were reduced to a mere 17.99 from around 49.99 RRP. If you're looking for a good upgrade set of in-ear headphones then I'd highly recommend these. I've recently gotten into listening to higher quality music files (FLAC etc) but to really appreciate it you need a good quality set of 'phones. I received them today and did a quick spot test and was pleasantly surprised by the great sound quality for the price I paid.

Now sure how I'd feel if I'd paid the full price (even though great quality) but at the current sale price they're a steal!

 Great value

These were on offer so i bought them at only 14.99 which is great value for the money.
Build quality. My first impressions are good, they seem well built and I very much like companies which tnk of the little things, for example including a small hard case with Denon indented on it so if you leave them in a bag they dont get damaged, and there are plenty of silicone buds to choose from.

The packaging is nice and refined, as expected from a company with a reputation such as Denon's

Audio Quality. They havent been properly bocken in yet, but I think the sound quality is very good at first impressions. bass is deep and well controlled without a huge thump everytime there is a beat, they are slightly bass heavy as with alot of other earphones at this price range but not as much as the others I have tried. When listening to Evanescences Bring me to Life (in lossless format) the piano at the start sounds great and the deep rumble is present but not overpowering, but if you want huge bass then with the right song they can practically give you a nosebleed (mt eden dubstep, sierra leone). As well as bass these headphones do well with higher frequencues as well with your song, ellie goulding sounding brilliant and on Jar of hearts by christina perri as well as meet me halfway by black eyed peas, the vocals are held very well with a good range.

The range of these is rated at 5-24000 hz but not all of that is audible because of falloff although in tests i have done, they do very well

In conclusion to this I think that, at the reduce price, whatever style of music you listen to you cant go wrong with these. My only annoyance is the length of the cable but it isnt really a problem. Haveing previously owned the award winning sennheiser cx300-II phones, these are on a par and slightly less bass heavy which I like

 Terrible Design

Sure the sound is ok, bass is nice but their better suited to dance music. Rock sounds awful and turn your iPod up more than 75% volume and it will start to distort

The biggest problem I have with these is the cable, the length is just so wrong. It comes in two parts, the smaller cable is so short it won't reach down to a coat or jeans pocket and with the extension you end with tons of extra wire just getting stuck and wrapping around things - it's crazy. Also the wire is soooo thin it tangles at every opportunity.

Probably won't last a month - commuters beware.

 Great piece of kit

Let's start why did I rate only 4 stars out of five - purely because of the cable, but for a price of 14.99 I think I can live with that. Otherwise this is exactly what I've been looking for - perfect fit for my ears, very comfortable and the sound quality - put it this way they don't lie printing on the box Acoustic Luxury! There's just enough bass not to kill the rest of the sound. These are my second DENON headphones with AH-D510 - these guys just know how to deliver pure pleasure to my ears.
BTW great service from play.com again.

 A steal at this price

I had some high expectations for these and was eagerly awaiting their delivery and I'm glad to be able to report they have not disappointed.

Coming complete with a hard case to protect them, an extension cable to lengthen the rather short cord and a multitude of different sized buds to best fit your earsize.

I was impressed by the build quality and overall feel that these had been put together with a bit of thought. Spending a bit of time getting the right size ear bud fitted pays dividends for the sound quality. Too loose and you don't get the full bass oomph and they sound a bit strangled and tinny. Too tight and your ear feels like it needs to pop a bit like being on a plane. Get it right and they are fantastic. Plenty of deep, punchy bass, smooth detailed mid range and a treble that doesn't become harsh even at high levels.

They do benefit from a bit of 'running in time' becoming more open and detailed as they go. As a whole, at this price, it's a 'no brainer'.
