After doing some reasearch online these headphones seem to fit the bill, but after having them for a few days they have not met up to the hype, they are confortable to wear but you have to have them at max volume to feel noise cancelling works, not ideal, sound is not bad and do better then the standard ipod headphones, Forty pounds better , not too sure. In summary if you have a spare forty pounds go for it, it not I would do some more reasearch.

My last pair were Bose and I wanted to try something different which I now regret. They are far too quiet meaning I can barely here podcasts through them. The noise cancelling thing is a load of rubbish, you have to shove them so far into your ears to hear anything that they are bound to cancel out some nose. As for the volume control I personally find it much easier to adjust the volume using the buttons on the side of my phone compared to the slide adjuster on the headphones. Not that you will adjust the volume as they need to be on max all the time. I will now return these and keep looking.
