Shure SRH440 Professional Studio Headphones

These headphones are excellent, you can't get a better set of headphones under the price of 300 pounds. I've worked with these headphones in the studio's at University and they stood up to the highest grade monitors and listening environment in the University. I'm talking about Genelec's highest grade monitors and various outboard gear. The Genelecs where obviously going to show more but no by much, you could still hear the problems in the Shure's just not as much. The build quality is also excellent these have been raged about for a year or so now, they're built like a tank. Due to them being close backs it can get fatiguing due to air pressure after about 3 hours or so but breaks are recommend every hour or so of mixing. These are fine headphones!

I really cannot think of a reason why you should not purchase a pair of these headphones. Whether you are someone who enjoys listening to beats in your free time, or you are a wizard in the studio, these would be perfect for you. I found out about the shure srh440's in an article online reviewing headphones and was surprised by the amount of affirmation they received for being so affordable. Decided to purchase them and it was a decision I will never regret. I use them for both listening and even for mastering in my bedroom studio; they work brilliantly for both. As with all headphones, they do get slightly uncomfortable after wearing them for a couple of hours however. All in all, the shure srh440's are the best headphones I have ever owned.

I've used these headphones through and iPod and through a PC. I have to say these headphones sound amazing. The bass is punchy, but not overpowering. The midrange is nice. I've used the headphones with Rap, Rock, and Pop and they all sound equally impressive. After the 100 hour "Burn In" period, the headphones sound quality improves further.
