Skullcandy Hesh Headphones

Firstly, if you are considering to buy it but the picture is putting you off from doing so, buy it. The picture is a complete deception on how cool looking these headphones are. Trust me, they will certainly give you a few looks with these things strapped around your head.

Pros -
They are extremely loud and awesome but when I first stuck it in my Ipod the bass was drowning the music but nothing the EQ can fix.
The headphones are extremely comfortable but wearing for a long time can be quite uncomfortable and your ears may become sweaty (I didn't know that was possible until an hour with them on)
Looks awesome - Nuff said.

Cons
Quite be uncomfortable after a long wear but just take them off and it will be ok to wear them again in 10 mins or so.
When you put them around your neck, they strangle you. Even if you adjust the headphones they will still be tight and very uncomfortable to wear around your neck. I'm deducting 1 star just because of this.

Overall -
I'm impressed. You get what you want. You also get everything included, even the travel back that I happened to misplace in a minute of opening the package. So if you are thinking of buying a pair of headphones, I hope this review was good enough.

From some reviews people have complained that the bass can be a little heavy. Im not finding this to be the case. On much of my music the bass is a little less than I expected to be honest.
Even if your not a fan, Oxide and Neutrino and Alpha/Omega make music that is great for testing, especially those low bass tones. Sound reproduction is good, throw away your apple buds. However they are not as loud as I would expect from 50mm's, although they can pass for speakers off of your head.

Comfort wise, you will never look back to in-earphones. Skullcandy do a great job padding and making sure they fit, even if your ears do get a little warm occasionally. (Dont complain in Winter, I wear mine to do exactly this sometimes.. lol)

Looks-wise - the reviews below are correct. The image bares no resemblance to the actual product. Ear cups are white with the usual Skullcandy decals. Headband is less cumbersome and has the SC skull in metal with red writing over the top. Whilst certainly not SC's best looking set, they are less garish and look very cool.

The travel bag that comes with these is pretty awesome, even if you dont need it for yours heads, you will want to find another use for it hehe.

Now for a few niggles.
-cable is 'JUST' a little too short.. being about 4" longer than your usual apple buds. (just buy an extender)
-noise muffle isnt great - I can still hear the outside world. But for me I would rather hear oncoming cars beeping at me..
-the legendary SC lifetime guarantee - it seems to only really work for USA peeps. According to the EU SC page you have to return them to the shop (a little more difficult when bought from Play) If your store will not replace or do the 50% own fault recovery then the website just says that they will 'advise you what to do'. - If anyone has been through this process, please do update this review.

But even still - at £18 delivered, a lifetime guarantee would be a lot to ask for wouldnt it? lol

Conclusion?
Those without overheadphones - buy these. A great starting point in comfort, sound and style at a steal of a price.

I will be buying Skullcandy again and I hope you do to.

After a year of being battered around in my handbag and being used for 10 hours or more very day, the plastic hinge on my earphones snapped. I contacted Skullcandy and had a replacement within a week. Amazing sound quality and amazing customer service, couldn't ask for more!

These headphones are definitely the best I have ever bought. The sound quality is excellent, and they look amazing. They are very comfortable to wear (and also keep your ears warm). I can honestly say that I have had no trouble with build-quality (as other reviewers have mentioned), and I have had them for over four months now and they are just as good as new. The highlight of these headphones, apart from the style, has to be the bass, turn it up too loud and you can hear it echo in your head. Skullcandy is definitely worth shelling out the extra money for.

I bought these around Christmas time 2008 and they have not lost a single amount of that brilliant crisp bass quality what so ever. The wires are strong and in tact!

The head phones come with a draw string travel bag which I through away into a corner this would be a bad mistake!! I had been putting them into a gig bag a lot with other items and the stitching came out where the head adjustment is and the leather look scuffed! It looks fine but I was a bit gutted that they no longer look perfect! But that was my fault, so i advise to use the bag provided before you go chucking them into your bags freely.

The picture is also incorrect; they are better looking than that!! Go to google images and type in Skullcandy Hesh and you'll see them then!
