Koss Porta Pro Hi-Fi Headphones

When I first plugged these in I was impressed but not knocked out,stereo seperation was brilliant, treble informative,bass a tad slow, however after about 7 hours of continuous rock music the bass tightened and deepened and became faster (thunderous in places!) the treble sweetened up even more and I started noticing things in tracks I hadn't noticed before (a very good sign I think you will agree) I have owned many pairs of headphones these are up with the best and are exhilarating to listen to.Give them a day or two to really sing

I've had my koss for longer then I can remember, and I got them with a lifetime warranty, which has allowed me to get a whole new pair twice and a bunch of new pads. They're brilliant for portability, and the sound quality is really good.

A few bad points I can think of is that they're not too comfortable, they leak sound alot (people around you can hear clearly what you're listening to) and the sockets that the speaker bits clip into on the frame wear out quite easily, so I cant use the frame anymore.

I recently discovered a new use for them though; they fit perfectly into my Arai helmet, so I get some good sound from satnav and mp3 player inside my helmet

These headphones are a testimony that not all things from the 80s are dead. They pump out very good, crispy clear music, they are very comfortable with a unique system that takes the pressure off your temple. The style will not be to everybody's liking for myself i don't worry too much about what others may say.
Now the negative. They is a big amount of sound leakage if you use them on the street or on the bus you will be sharing your music with everyone around you. I used them with the 1st generation ipod touch and they don't work well one needs to increase the sound to roughly 90% to really hear it and the outside noise intrusion does not help. I think you need a source with a powerful output. I think that they are more suitable for indoor use, i am moving to the skullcandy hush but will still use the porta pro on my laptop.

These are the best headphones i've ever own and will own. In terms of sound quality they beat 60pound pairs by far. There is no comparison whatsoever between these and the sennheiser PX100s/200s. I've owned all three and the kosses destroy any other headphones i've had. The quality of the sound, depth and clarity of the bass cannot be overstated. I would urge you to buy two pairs as I have done. Believe me, NOTHING compares to these they are simply phenomenal. I'd pay 50 pounds for these at least. For 17 pounds you'd be blind not to buy at least one pair. Cannot describe their awesomeness, superior to all headphones under 100 pounds, and i've tested a lot! BUY NOW you will not regret it!

Would recommend these to anybody, purchased after reading lots of reviews on different headphones and am so glad I bought them.

Don't dither, just get some (and no I don't work for Koss).
