Sennheiser HD 228 Headphones (White)

I do not know why I left my review so late but I bought these 4 months ago and they still look and work as if I just took it out of the packaging. I usually only last a month or even a couple of weeks with headphones, skull candy lowriders broke within the first week! But these hd 228s are amazing, the feel is amazing, very comfortable, their very cute headphones as well, if your not wearing them they would look good around your neck. For 30 odd this is a steal in my opinon, you will not regret buying these babies!

Sennheiser have gone for form over function with these headphones. I'm a bit of an audiophile and expect music to sizzle out of sennheiser drivers, but the HD 228s left me disappointed with very pedestrian sound quality. In terms of build quality the headphones in general is robust. The jack wasn't the sturdiest of shapes, and if it's connected your iPod in your pocket it can get bent and damaged and mine has subsequently broken.
In conclusion, if you're after really good sound quality try elsewhere, but if you don't mind the average, and you like them to look good and sit comfy, grab yourself a pair.

When they arrived, i was very pleased with the sound quality, since i had been previously using standard apple ipod headphones it was a big improvement. However, the bass was definitely not outstanding and though of good quality lacked the same feel as you get from higher end headphones such as monster beats. Overall, a good product, around four stars, though after only three months general use the sound of one and eventually both headphones went. Simply wanting a return, i asked play.com though they only have a 30 day back return, so i contacted seinheisser. Although the product description clearly states there is a two year warranty, seinheisser said they were unable to give a return before 12 months so i now have to wait at least 8 months to return them, though i am still doubtful as to if they will, after that time.
