It's not pretty but it works

It works and is almost certainly quicker than when I connect my camera directly to the computer. I do have one issue though. My MacBook has 2 USB ports, and whichever port I use for this device the other one has to be empty because the reader is so big and plasticky. If a little more thought had been given to the design I'd have given it 5 stars.

much faster than connection from camera

I use this with my Nikon D3, to download pics to my notebook. It works 3/4 times faster than a connection directly from the camera. it's plus point - is that it is small and handy and for less than £5 you can't go wrong.

 Not good!

When I first used it I couldn't get my card in very easily - turned out to be on of the connector pins was bent. Having fixed this I'm now getting a write speed of 4MB/s on a card which writes at 12MB/s using a Maxell card adaptor. Not impressed.
