i've tried other cables but this is by far the best no ghosting at all perfect picture

First off, amazing cable.....no loss of quality at all! I am using this for my Xbox 360 on my Samsung 22" monitor - wow. This cable is far better than using component in my opinion. But take in mind the cable won't carry sound, and this is where I explain the trouble I had with my Xbox 360....

Very cleverly Microsoft have placed the HDMI and AV slots close together, meaning if you have a HDMI cable plugged in...you can't plug the AV a the same time!

Microsoft sell there own cable that fits perfectly, but at around £40........but that was a ridiculous idea seeing as I had just bought this! After some searching on the internet, I found a simple way of plugging both HDMI and AV in at the same time....simply remove the plastic casing of the AV cable with a screw driver (by wedging the case apart - don't worry, the plastic casing DOESN'T hold any components together and won't damage a thing)

Now it works a dream and I don't need to cash out for another cable!

It's what I did and it worked a treat. Obviously you need to make sure your graphics card has a DVI port and your TV has a HDMI port if they do, you're all set. It doesn't carry sound as people have already said but your PC will take care of that. So for £9.99 sit back relax and pitty those people who are still using monitors for gaming!

I bought this to connect my ps3 to my dell monitor (1680x1050) It worked as soon as I turned the ps3 on (in normal sdtv) the first message that comes up (once connected) asks you if you want a higher resolution, select yes and it will change the resolution from 576p to 720p or whatever the highest resolutuion your monitor is (does anyone know how to change it closer to 1680x1050?)

NOTE HDMI TO DVI-D DOES NOT SUPPORT SOUND, YOU HAVE TO CONNECT THE SUPPLIED AV CABLE TO YOUR SPEAKERS AND AND CHANGE THE SOUND OUTPUT TO A/V IN THE SOUND SETTINGS.

I have looked around and, according to a list, my monitor was HDCP (it stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) and only some monitors support it. It might not work with all monitors and it says so on the back " Note: Please ensure your devises support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) System."

DO NOT BUY IF YOUR DEVICE IS NOT HDCP AS IT MIGHT NOT WORK!

Overall it worked right away. I found it great! Definitely worth £10 for 144 more lines of resolution !!!

The HDMI - DVI cable is very useful at connect a PS3 to a PC monitor, it works flawlessly, simply plug and play!

The two things you should have in mind are that this cable will NOT carry sound, which means that you must either connect the sound output via optical cable to a TV/Amplifier OR use the analogue AV cable to connect to some speakers or use an adapter to convert it to 3.5mm jack and plug it into those iPod speakers!

The other thing you should know is that the connectors are quite chunky, and they may not fit inside small spaces, (like between the VGA and Power input on my monitor)

Overall a very good piece of equipment for setting up that perfect home entertainment heaven, (or just your living room).
