This player works fine out the box and has the latest firmware installed.
The only thing that you will require at some point is memory to plug into the back, some blu ray movies need to install info onto a drive before they will play. (crank 2 and tropic thunder are 2)
The interface screen will be recognized by playstation users.
In short easy to use and does what it say's on the tin.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Excellent quality ....

Easy to set up, just plug it in and connect the HDMI to your TV (or av reciever if you have one) and away you go..That is of course if you have a Blu Ray to watch, the 2 free disks did not come with the player...Have tried my Black Hawk Down DVD which it upscales well.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Easy, simple, good quality.. no down sides

It's a Sony product what more do you want for 120bucks? It plays the Blue-Rays perfectly, the boot up time isn't long, it has no big flashy lights to distract you while watching your movie and its easy to set up.. really nothing wrong with this product, very happy with it indeed.
