What is LED?
Standard LCD TVs use a simple constant fluorescent lamp backlight to illuminate the image on the screen. But this type of lamp is too bright to display true black images and includes unwanted colours which are difficult to filter without reducing
screen brightness. Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a new technology that converts electric energy directly into light, producing a dramatic improvement in contrast and colour rendering. LED has a narrower spectrum of light with fewer unwanted colours.

How does LED help protect our environment?
LED TVs use up to 40% less power than a conventional system which reduces both environmental damage and operating cost. Our LED TVs also require less energy to manufacture. There is no mercury in our LCD TVs and no lead is used in their manufacture. Our ultra-slim design requires less packaging which increases shipping efficiency and reduces waste. All our LED products have been granted the European Union Eco-Label 'Flower', so you can buy with confidence knowing you're doing your bit to protect our planet.

Why is the Samsung picture so much better?
Samsung LED replaces ordinary fluorescent backlights with multiple LEDs that brighten, dim or turn off altogether depending on the picture on the screen giving you deep authentic blacks and a greater subtlety of colour gradiation in between. Once you've seen your favourite films and shows the way their makers intended, you'll never settle for ordinary TV again.

How does Samsung make it so slim?
By using smaller lamps and a thinner diffuser sheet, Samsung LED TVs are 70% slimmer than equivalent fluorescent backlit televisions. Samsung takes slimness a step further by arranging the LEDs around the outside of the screen and pointing them inwards. This optimised structure makes the Samsung LED incredibly slim - just 29.9mm! What a great piece of technology! Colours brilliant and picture quality is superb, the setting up was easy to follow and I had the television and peripherals up and running in about 20 minutes. Xbox is so much more fun in HD!

im a bit of a tv addict, have had many tv's, this is by far the easiest tv to set up and by far the best picture quality, even on standard tv the picture blows you away, on bluray it really is the best thing out!

lot s of motion blur on slow moving images even on bluray. tv maybe faulty will have to contact samsung or play . anyone else have this problem ?

the picture quality is amazing if u can see past the problems i have had 2 in one week the first one had dodgy power supply which would make a crackling sound and got it replaced with one that had a dead pixel so i have decided to never buy samsung again not so much becouse their products are not what they used to be but becouse i dont want them to have my money.
