This camera, coupled with a zoom lens is an ideal starter kit for the amateur photographer, it is the most commonly used camera on photography courses the world over.

I got one and Canon where doing the £50 back deal at the time, not sure f they still are. Takes great pictures, very versatile, does take RAW format. Lens is not great but you can always splash out on better ones when you get the cash.
